For years I sang this song...I sang it in so many concerts..people used to identify me with this song...I was often referred to as 'the Hero girl'..I was listening to this song for the 10000000067 time..and just listening to the music and concentrating on the lyrics made me realise why I love this song so much..It beautifully captures my relationship with God. He is my true hero...
Read the lyrics referring to God as your Hero:
There's a hero,
If you look inside your heart,
You don't have to be afraid of what you are,
There's an answer,
If you reach into your soul,
And the sorrow that you know will melt away.
[chorus]
And then a hero comes along,
With the strenght to carry on,
And you cast your fears aside and you know you can survive,
So when you feel like hope is gone,
Look inside you and be strong,
And you'll finally see the truth that a hero lies in you.
It's a long road,
When you face the world alone,
No one reaches out a hand for you to hold,
You can find love,
If you search within yourself,
And the emptiness you felt will disappear.
[chorus]
Lord knows,
Dreams are hard to follow,
But don't let anyone tear them away,
Hold on,
There will be tomorrow,
In time you'll find the way.
[chorus]
That a hero lies in.....you______
Ooohh that a hero lies in.....you

I just found these quotes and I thought they were great!
"Thanks to those who hated me, you made me feel stronger. To those who loved me, you made my heart grow fonder. Those who cared, you made me feel important. Those who entered my life, you made me who I am today. Those who left, you showed me that nothing lasts forever. Those who stayed, u showed me true friendship. Those who listened, u made me feel I was worth it"
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
